Chanya Punyakumpol

Chanya Punyakumpol is a lawyer with expertise in international trade and investment law. She has been involved in different projects on trade, investment, and sustainability. Her previous related experiences include working on trade and development issues for developing countries; plastic waste trade; and drafting of investment dispute settlement provisions. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the Geneva Graduate Institute (IHEID). Her project is on the use of precedent in international trade and investment disputes. Her expertise lies in international trade and international investment jurisprudence and the use of empirical data for policy-making and legal analysis. Chanya also holds a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and a J.D. from Cornell Law School. She is admitted to practice in New York, the United States.
