Message from CEO

TSIS sounds similar to the word THESIS which does not only refer to the academic thesis. But it also means a statement. Our organization started as a small dream of a group of founding researchers who believed that intellectual curiosity and research can drive our society forward. At the same time, we wanted to prove that research is not difficult. Everyone can creatively use research skills to improve society.

 

TSIS, therefore, focuses on (1) social research that is beneficial to the country's development (Research); (2) the transfer of research knowledge through on-ground activities that create practitioners with researchers' DNA. (Workshop); and (3) consultation on social development for government, private entities, and civil society (Consulting). By bringing the experience from research results and working experience with policymakers, TSIS provides knowledge and capacity building that fits the context of our country.

 

Over the past 5 years, TSIS has engaged in producing quality research outcomes, and research capacity building for practitioners from all sectors to improve their work processes. Moreover, we provide consulting services to co-create corporate strategy and push for policies related to the creation of grassroots economies and social security. We promote an understanding of corporate social responsibility (CSR) among business entities. All in all, we are always proud to see that our work help drive our country forward.

 

Over the next five years, TSIS envisions that we will produce qualitative research in the social sciences with broader issues; proactively engage with more people to build the capacity; expand the network of creative researchers; and drive policies that benefit and build social reconciliation in our society.
